A healthcare service can submit an expression of interest for participating in the GOLD Forum Process at any time. They can do this online by completing the expression of interest form identifying themselves as well as their national/regional Coordinating Institution.
 

On receiving the Expression of Interest, the Global Network Coordinating Centre will send relevant information to both the healthcare service and the national/regional Coordinating Institution to assist them in preparing for their application. 

Submission: Responsibility Submitter

Only authorised submitters can nominate a healthcare service as a candidate in a GOLD Process. The submitter must describe the national “verification and validation”

process and findings that support the nomination of each candidate in the document "FORM A”. Deadline FORM A: 31/10/25

Examination and Recognition Responsibility Jury

GNTH Jury Teams review FORM A’s for the decision toaccept the nominated candidates for participation in the GOLD Process.

Submission: Responsibility Healthcare Services

All accepted candidate healthcare services are invited to submit the document ”Form B” to highlight innovative and good practice and provide information of their quality

improvement plans and commitment to sustain this highlevel implementation into the future. The Form B can be completed with the support of the authorised submitter.

Examination of Form B: Responsibility Jury

The GNTH Jury Team assigned to each accepted candidate will examine the candidate’s FORM B to understand how the high-level implementation was achieved, outcomes and results and identify innovate and good practice. Deadline:  31/03/2026

Each candidate will receive a full feedback report FORM C. New GOLD Forum Members are invited to participate at the next GOLD Forum Event. Membership of the Forum lasts for a period of four years.

The Gold Forum Award ceremony will be held at the Global Conference in Sweden on Wednesday, 20 May 2026 10.00 am - 4.00 pm Slagthuset Malmö, Sweden

Once their nomination is accepted, the healthcare service candidate is invited to complete the prescribed forms, detailing how they meet the requirements.

The material provided by the healthcare service candidate and the regional/national Coordinating Institution is peer reviewed by an international jury comprising Global Network members who are not associated with the candidate.
 

The jury team in their review may ask for more information / evidence.

The result of jury's deliberations is communicated to the candidate healthcare service and their Coordinating Institution.
 

Successful candidates are invited to participate in the GOLD Forum Event.
 

Unsuccessful candidates are provided feedback about their performance and encouraged to continue their efforts in relation to implementing the Global Standards.
