Due to the ongoing challenges concerning COVID-19 that impact all of your important activities, we have decided to offer flexibility on the evaluation of the Gold Process submissions for 2020/2021.
Current information: You can submit your applications for your clinics with FORM A until May 31st 2021. This is the next World Tobacco Day!
We are planning our GOLD Forum Event in November 2021 and look forward to celebrating and honoring all Gold Forum Winner’s 2019 – 2021.
Your interest as a national authorized submitter in nominating (a) candidate(s) to the Process and your high responsibility are greatly appreciated.
Providing clear information and evidence that high-level implementation is and was found in place is the main responsibility of the national submitter.
The first step in this Process is document FORM A. (full in from a national authorized submitter).
Within FORM A of the GOLD Process 2020/2021 there are 3 Parts:
Part 1: National Tobacco Control - Information on the situation on the regional and/or national level
Part 2: National/Regional Process - Measures and processes used on the regional/national level to externally validate the self-audited high-level implementation
Part 3: Nomination Form – The national submitter is responsible for outlining in this Part sufficient information to demonstrate that the nominated candidate has fulfilled the nomination criteria completely and what was found (briefly) in the national process to support their nomination for recognition
A group of Senior Jury Members will review FORM A and evaluates the high implementation level from your candidate(s) in this first step.
The Jury team needs to understand in FORM A:
The national tobacco control situation, in general and that specific to healthcare services
How candidates were selected for nomination (i.e.self audit, other activities to find out high implementation level)
What is the validation process on the national/regional level
How is insight gained and evidence presented within the implementation process used by the candidate?
What other processes are used, how is the reliability of evidence of the reported results verified
All accepted nominations will then be invited to submit "FORM B" to provide additional data and to highlight innovative and good practice of your candidate(s).
The nominated candidate has the responsibility to outline within FORM B how good practice was implemented and what measures are proposed to sustain and improve quality implementation of the Global Standards into the future.
The Jury Team assigned will examine the candidate`s FORM B to identify innovative and good practice for sharing.
